TOPICAL MEDICATION: Hydroquinone

A topical medication may be prescribed by the doctor to minimise the production of melanin in the skin, either as a stand-alone treatment or as a preparation for chemical peeling or laser therapy, priming the skin to prevent post inflammatory complications or enhance the outcome of a peel or laser treatment.

  • It is important to follow your prescribers’ instructions when first introducing vitamin A to your skin or when using it with other actives like vitamin C and AHA as some irritation may occur.
